I had anticipated the car running better this weekend at the track but had no idea it would have been this big of improvement. Brian at Dyno Tune Motorsports tweaked the tune last week and it was running much stronger.
Last run of the weekend I ran 12.347 @ 117.3. I picked up 6 mph! A lot of it was the tune, but I also got better shifting and experimented with the shift points.
After a couple runs I managed a 12.865 @ 111.27 with a 1.938 60′. The car is still falling flat between gears hopefully some work on the tune will correct this issue.
It has arrived. Fords new 5.0 v-8 is now available in a crate engine! It’s priced at 6,999.00. When reading the specs one thing that really stands out to me is not just the power but they are claiming it only weights 444 lbs!
Check out the specs:

We drove down to Myrtle Beach after work on Tuesday of last week. We left Columbus, Ohio around 7pm and arrived in North Myrtle Beach around 8am. 5 tanks of gas, ~600 miles, and 1 warning by the South Carolina State Police and we finally made it. Slept for about 5 hours and then we headed over to Myrtle Beach Motor Speedway.
My 2000 Mustang GT – In Car – 4th gear around the track.
Good news is … the car held up good on the dyno last night.
Here is the graph of the pull when it was on the #14 pulley. It put out a max of #12 on the #14 pulley. Now keep in mind mine is the top curve. The bottom curve is from a 2002 mustang gt with stock everything with the same 1.7L KB on the #9 pulley(his made 436rwhp with this setup). However his was run when the temps were in the high 60′s and not 90′s like mine yesterday. Also i believe both were with 18 degrees of timing. My CR is 8.7:1 so im assuming that’s the difference as well as the heads, cams, and exhaust my engine is more efficient so it produces less boost.
